JOON LIANG NAMES AS NEW MANAGER FOR SEMUA ROVERS
| Assistant Manager,Low Joon Liang,has been appointed as the new manager of Semua Rovers after the shocking departure of Manager,Asy. Personal problems,lack of goals and under-par performances led to the shocking resignation of Asy. Joon Liang will be officially named as Manager of Semua Rovers as of 20 march 2009. |
MANAGER TO STEP DOWN FROM SOCCER.
| Player Manager,Asy, has hinted that he may step down as manager of Semua Rovers. He was reported saying that his lack of goals,poor performances and personal problems has led him to make the decision he might quit the beautiful game for good. After leading the team to 2 big wins and one lost,that was the only high-profile result he could show as the other games were his under-par peformances eventhough his team won. DEBUT FIELD WIN FOR SEMUA ROVERS AND ACE UPGRADES OVER BUKIT PANJANG BOYS
For the first time,Semua Rovers and Ace Upgrades join forces to play in a friendly match with Bukit Panjang boys. Due to the minimum of players, Ace Upgrades were invited to join forces with Semua Rovers. It was the second time that both team faces each other after Semua Rovers 10-1 win over Ace Upgrades. It was clear that Ace Rovers( combination name) were the underdogs team but they pull off a remarkable comeback to win the match 6-5.
The first half was a one-sided game as Bukit panjang Boys control the possesion but they couldn't create their possesion into chances after a wonderfull solid display by goalkeeper,Ahmad. They did managed to score 2 goals but a blunder by their goalkeeper allow Ace Rovers to pull a goal back. It was confusing after the referee blows the half-time whistle after just 25 minutes of play. Team captain,Asy approached the referee for clarification but the referee couldn't gave a good explanation. HALF-TIME. 2-1 to Bukit Panjang Boys.
Second-half started and captain,Asy,changes the team formation and players as Geraldo replaces Vice-captain,Irwan who is nursing a stomach cramp. The change proves ineffective as Ace Rovers again conceded 2 goals due to poor defending and the scoreline stated 4-1 to the home team. What happened the next 20 minutes was pure madness and unbeliveable. After an own goal by the opponent, It seems that it has brought believe and detemination to Ace Rovers as Aiman,scores two to make the scoreline tie at 4-4 and bring his tally of goals to 4 on that day. Tackles started flying in and the game turned agressive soon after. Ace Rovers make full-use of their opponents poor defending and complacency and added 2 more goals to make it 6-4. There were 10 more minutes left in the clock as captain,Asy,turned to defensive. Bukit panjang boys attacked and threatened the defence but fine goalkeeping by,Ahmad,denied them an opportunity at goal but they managed to make the score-line 6-5 with 5 minutes left but Ace Rovers hold on for the last few minutes for a win. Eventhough Ace Rovers were outplayed by their opponents full control of possesion but they make full use of all the chances and defensive error by the opponents to create a remarkable comeback and won the match. It was over-confident and complacency that brought the downfall of Bukit Panjang boys as they looks like they were not playing soccer after leading 4-1 but they were brought down to earth after Ace Rovers managed to make the scoreline tied at 4-4 and add two more to make the scoreline in Ace Rovers way.

A FRIENDLY BASKETBALL GAME TO SETTLE EVERYTHING.
Semua Rovers midfielder Gibson Tan has challenged The Rembats for a Basketball match. He is asking the basketball match as a friendly match. There maybe complains that there are many people who doesn't know how to play basketball but Semua Rovers players seems to be agree with the idea as they wanted a time off from soccer and changed into a new sport. This is to avoid any conflicts going on between both clubs as tensions are high between both clubs after the "walk-over".
Whether The Rembats will accept the challenge is still a question.Reports will be made as soon as The Rembats have given their answers.

SEMUA ROVERS 2-1 THE REMBATS ( WALK-OVER)
It was a match that has been played so many times but today's match was a special occasion. It marks the last match this two teams that is going to play but the match was abandoned after just 20 minutes after The Rembats appeared to walk-over over a pouring rain. Semua Rovers was shocked at the bahaviour of The Rembats after they seemed to be missing after the pouring rain.
It was reported that thay have gone home as they do not want to continue playing.
Semua Rovers was leading by two goals with both goals scored by on-form striker Janson. The Rembats managed to pull one goal back after a howler by Semua Rovers goalkeeper Chris.

NEW INTERIM CAPTAIN
Player Manager,Asy, is the new interim captain for Semua Rovers FC. The decision was made after initial captain,Danial Tan, has handed in a transfer request after falling out with clubmates. RSSC Toh Chun How,the man whose two goals brought victory for his team against Semua Rovers has joined Semua Rovers on loan on a one game basis after falling out with clubmate prolific striker,Kayong. It is understood that there will be an upcoming match between Semua Roves and RSSC in which Chun how will play for Semua Rovers in that match. It became more serious for the match after both Chun How and Kayong place stakes of 100 SGD and 63 months of retirement from football activities if their team were to lose for the upcoming fixture.

CHEERLEADER TRIAL HAS ENDED!!
Manager,Asy,has confirmed the the cheerleader trial has ended and it is also confirmed that there will be no cheerleader for Semua Rovers as the audition for Cheerleading has been too over-exposed and too seductive. There were also calls for complain from the CC as they were not happy with how Semua Rovers managed to attract many girls to join the Cheerleading team.

Semua rovers lost their first away match under new manager,Asy, after they slumped to a 4-2 defeat to RSSC. With the win,RSSC maintained their unbeaten run in the court. It was a late confirm match as both teams field an under-strength team with RSSC puting only 3 of their first team players and Semua Rovers have 4 players from their first team but RSSC prove to strong for Semua Rovers. It was an entertaining game in the second-half as 5 goals were scored in the period.
Nothing interesting happen in the first half as both teams were playing a usual passing game and pressing each other with counter-attacking football.Both teams went closed but the solitary goal in the first half came through a dubious misunderstanding between Geraldo and Taufiq and chun how was quick to react to toe-poke the ball home. It was a stupid goal to concede as they were only a few minutes away from ending the first half goalless.The team went into half time with RSSC leading 1-0.
Second half began and Ah-Kiat was forced to be sub off at half-time due to fatigue although he came back mid-way through the second-half as the half-fit Geraldo has to be sub off. RSSC started the second half with full of energy and within seconds of the second half,Kayong made a glancing header through a corner past Taufiq to make it 2-o for the home team.It was the best start the home team could possibly wanted and they started pressing with attacking movements. Asy and Janson have to come back and do defending as both Geraldo and Afiq were having problems dealing with pacy attacking duo-Jowell and Kayong. RASHPAL APPOINTED AS CLUB ADVISOR....END OF TRANSFER WINDOW
It's official. The Secrect is finally revealed. After much secrecy in who is the club new advisor,manager,Asy,has already unveiled that Rashpal Singh is the new club advisor. The ex-manager of team 4/1 and 5/1 has put pen to paper on a deal that is 2 months long. He will be in-charge for the team's performance and tactics. The contract also stated that he will act as manager,Asy,number two together with Assistant manager,Joon liang.
"I am very happy to have finally land Rashpal. He was the ex-manager of team 4/1 and 5/1 and he knows the players well.To bring him back is an honour and i'm sure the players will be delighted and would welcome him."
The new club advisor was unavailable for comment as he was busy working on his current job.

CHEERLEADER TRIAL TO BE HELD THIS WEEKEND
Semua Rovers manager,Asy, has told reporters that the team is lacking motivation and the only way to deal with it is to called on some moral support from the cheerleaders. Girls who want to be future cheerleader can attend a trial session this weekend. The judge will be the Manager himself and his Assistant manager.Entry is free.
Girls interested are required to send in their application form with a photo of them placed on the top right hand corner. Hp numbers are compulsary and their status has to be single.
Any girls in a relationship are not allowed to join as to prevent any jealousy.
Attire is shorts and CLOTHES must be from top to waist.

JOON LIANG RETAINS AS ASSISTANT MANAGER, NEW CLUB ADVISOR TO BE APOINTED BY THIS WEEK
It wass confirmed that Assistant Manager,Joon Liang, has retain his post as Assistant Manager. The meeting went smoothly yesterday as the two managers sat down and discuss about their public spat few weeks back. Reporters were already buzzing outside the Semua Rovers camp even before the meeting had fininshed.Reporters managed to caught up with Asy for some answers.
"Yes,i can confirm that Joon liang will remain as Assistant Manager. The meeting went very smooth and i did not have to think twice to make the decision."
When asked what was the reason for him to keep his Assistant Manager,he said
"The reason is very simple. He(joon liang) is very closed with the players and it's obvious that the players don't want to lose a great manager like him.So,i made the decison to keep him partially because of our players will to keep him."

SNEAK PEAK INTO TRAINING GROUND AFTER MANAGEMENT COMMOTION
With all the commotion going on the Semua Rover training camp, many reporters were caught outside the training camp to know what personal effect has the incident inflicted on them.
Reporters: "Are u disturbed by the commotion going on at the management level? what's the effect on you?"
Geraldo: "Well, training will be done as usual, but i guess our morale and mood will be affected in one way or another, but no matter what outcome is it, winning games is still the priority."
Afeeq: "I guess a little. But who gives a damn man. Aha."

It was reported earlier today that Semua Rovers boss,Asy,has called on for an immediate meeting with the board to discuss the future of Assistant manager,Joon liang. The meeting is going to be held later tonight as both managers will stand by each other for the first time eversince the public spat which happened a few weeks ago. Players were notified that they will play no part in the decision of the manager if he were to sacked his Assistant Manager.

Afeeq: Well, I think that the manager's doing the right thing, presently. I am only a player serving this club, so I can't comment much about what is presently going on with the authorities. But I can say that the assistant manager should be more serious with the task given to him. Personally, I think that if he manages to change his ways, he should be given another opportunity.

Reports are saying that Semua Rovers manager,Asy,is asking for his Assistant manager,Joon liang,to be axed from the club after a misunderstanding between the two people.Reports were made after an exclusive interview with the manager who is already believed to be finding a replacement for the Assistant Manager post.

LOAN SIGING FROM RIVALS?
Semua Rovers manager,Asy, has today announced the loan signing of left footed player,Faisal,from Ace Upgrades. The Former Semua Rovers player caught the eye of the manager during the match between the two teams with Semua Rovers hammering past Ace Upgrades 10-1. He left the club in January before Asy took over and It was coincidence that the player is what the manager is looking for. The deal is believed to be a one year loan as manager,Asy,looks to find a left-footed winger.
"There are only one left-footed player in my team and tat is Afeeq,and if he is injured,i will b facing problems on the left flank."
Manager,Asy,was delighted with the signing of Faisal:"I am very pleased with our signing. He has impressed us all during our friendly match with the Rembats and he scored an absolute wonder goal. From there,i know he is the perfect man for this team. Futhermore,he has many friends in this team before he left the club in the January transfer window.He has a great left foot and he can play in defence as well as in midfield. He is aggresive and he will bring us the strength on this team.He has to win back the fans and i think he can do it"
The 17 year old who will be wearing the number 11 jersey is more than happy to be re-joining his new club."Well at this young age,i feel i need to develop and Semua Rovers fc is a good place to start anew again. I wanted to return back the favour after i left the club some time back.It gives me opportunity to destroy the flanks again just like my idol Ryan Giggs once did. The goal against the Rembats is the beginning of a new era in my career and i hope to score like that more often."
The shock signing may have shocked many players but there are a few players who does not believe the wonder goal he scored is the reason why Manager,Asy,brought him to this team.
Highly rated winger,Afeeq said "Personally, I think that the manager signed him because it was a drastic measure to make our defense more solid-looking. It's not because of the wondergoal he scored. That wondergoal was just a mere spectacular glimpse of what we'll be able to see in the future,but even so, i'm pleased with the signing. But it's not compulsory for him to join us. Our squad has already beginning to mature without a player like him. With the extra player like him, it'll be just as wonderful without him. Like I've said before, it's great to have him as it makes our defense more aggressive during open-play"
Playmaker Sanjeev agreed and said:"Well i would say he has to win the fans back because he didn't do himself any favour when he backstabbed the club some time ago "

After the manager, Asy, press conference on dropping Geraldo on the next game due to his attitude problems, Geraldo held a similar press conference to apologise to everyone for the trouble and to the manager as well. Geraldo said, " I've looked back and reviewed my comments to the manager and realised that I've crossed the line by shouting back replies at the manager. Manager Asy said: "We have an agreement with the lad (Gibson) that he should join us over the weekend on a one-month loan deal".
The midfielder who will be celebrating his 18th birthday in one days time is more than happy with the move. "I'm very happy to join such a great squad which include many great players, hopefully through this period of time, i would be able to contribute to this team".

The match started off to exciting start when Sanjeev scored the first goal barely 10mins into the game, slicing the ball accuratele into the goal. With his lightning pace, he penetrated Ace's defence without any difficulties. The floodgates began to open soon after with two goals from Janson, capitalising on defensive errors created by Ace. Sanjeev added another with a nice nutmeg through the legs of the Ace's keeper. With the three midfield maestros on the field, Afeeq, Asy and Ah Kiat, it was certain that TSRFC's defence were rock solid. However, Ace's midfielder, Md Irwan, did managed to reduced the deficit with a rocket past Danial. Gerald0, managed to open his account with a sublime finish connecting with a loose pass from Sanjeev just before the halftime. They would have add a couple more but the whistle was blown with the halftime score :

With tensions rising, Ace tried to turn the game to their favour by bringing on fresh legs. They managed to break TSRFC's defence but wasted their opportunities upfront. With Haja being brought on to stablise TSRFC's defence, Asy, playing as a holding defensive midfielder, was given room to roam with Janson in attack. With pure determination and pin-point passes, Ah Kiat gleefully pounced on a stray pass with an accurate drive. Top-form striker, Janson, added on to his two-goal tally with yet another two goals with placing and precision combined into one. Sanjeev, this time an accurate pass by Ah Kiat, managed to get the better of Ace's defense and scored another goal with a simple tap in. Asy tried to get his name on the score sheet but couldn't with overwhelming tackles from defensive oppositions. Ace continued pushing forward with numerous chances but unfortunately, to no avail. Asy switch his position with Danial to play as a goalkeeper while Danial, playing as a defensive midfielder this time around, broke free and skipped past several defenders before slotting in the ball at the near, bottom right-hand corner of the goal. That proved to be the last action of the one-sided game.
Player Manager,Asy,said after the match "It was a great game, we started out brightly at the start of the game and managed to score 3 quick goals, tat was the turning point of our game.We defended very well and i am pleased wth my two wing back,ah kiat and afeeq".
Many were suprised when Asy changed the whole team position,with Sanjeev,Gerald and Janson playing as defenders,Afiq and Ah kiat playing as midfielders and Asy himself playing as a lone striker. He said "My objective of doing that is to familiar the players with different positon,so tat when there are injuries,they can all be call upon to be in their other roles, I even play as a goalkeeper for the last few minutes".
The team still managed to score 5 goals in the second half to prove their ruthless attacking play.
Player Manager,Asy, save his praises for his two on-form players, Janson and Sanjeev.
" I told Janson to stay in-front of the defenders and wait for our delivery of the balls and use his aerial ability to good use. He had a tough pre-season with poor form and scoring only a few goals, his form has deep but on Saturday, he prove everybody tat he is back and i'm happy abt it. Sanjeev was just magnificent,he terrorises the defence with his blistering pace. I told him the day before tat i expect him to deliver the goals and set him a target of 2 goals, and he gave me 3 goals, i can never be more happy."
The players were happy after the final whistle but the Manager was not happy with the team's attendance.
" I am dissapointed with the team's attendance. i only have 1 substitute available for Saturday's game. There were 5 absentees including Assistant Manager,Joon Liang"
When asked who will be the team's next opponent, Asy pointed out "The Rembats".
" I have been monitoring the team for a few weeks and no doubt they have good players. Not forgeting that they have school captain,Rudy on their team. They are good but our team are good enough to beat them "
